Delivery Policy
Delivery Details – general orders

We hand deliver our orders from Albion, Queensland. Click here for a list of postcodes that we hand deliver to, including delivery day & cost. No dispatch will occur on Queensland public holidays. We cannot deliver to Post Office Boxes. We must be provided with a physical address. In the event that no-one will be at home, please leave an esky out for the delivery to be left in and provide instructions as to where the driver may find this esky as no signature is required at delivery. If no instructions are provided then the driver will leave your box in a place deemed safe and out of sight.

Our delivery drivers have been instructed to leave orders in a ‘safe place’ if no one is home to receive the delivery. This isn’t always possible, and if they have to attempt re-delivery at another time you will be liable for an additional cost. We are not liable for any deliveries missed because the recipient was not notified.

If you are ordering cheese as a gift, we strongly advise that you tell the recipient to expect a delivery. It is a requirement that you provide the recipient’s mobile number so that the delivery driver will be able to contact them. We also advise that you make sure the recipient is aware the package needs to be refrigerated if it’s not to be opened for a length of time.

Please note that if you only want your contact details to be used then it is your responsibility to let the recipient know the item is on its way and the food contents are to be kept in the refrigerator.

Deliveries can be made to postcodes that aren’t on the list by special arrangement. These will either be hand delivered or sent by Express Post with Australia Post. Orders sent with Australia Post are shipped in boxes with ice bricks. Depending upon your location most orders will be received by the recipient within 48-72 hours of dispatch. If your order is sent by Express Post tracking details will be provided to you and the risk in any goods purchased shall unless otherwise agreed in writing be passed to you upon Australia Post receiving the goods. Orders sent by Express Post will be dispatched on Mondays or Tuesdays. For further details please refer to the Australia Post website www.auspost.com.au .

It is not unusual, if your package has come to you via Express Post or has been left in a safe place that the ice bricks have melted and the box temperature is higher than your refrigerator temperature. Please place your cheese into your refrigerator as soon as possible, in order to stop the ripening process. It will not be harmed, but it may well be very smelly depending on the type of cheese.

Cost of hand delivery is from $10.00 per delivery and for Express Post is from $30.00 per delivery (dependent on the weight & size of the package). Delivery is always at the discretion and availability of The Cheeseboard.
